Bears clinch their playoff place with a fixture to spare

REDCAR clinched an end of season playoff place with a hard fought victory at Scunthorpe and will now face defending champions Poole in the semifinals.

They now go into next Friday's final scheduled encounter with Workington under no pressure and having also secured their joint highest ever Championship position - they also finished third in 2019.
With Edinburgh simultaneously losing at table toppers Glasgow the Agilia Bears are now assured of third place in the table.
But co-promoter Jamie Swales was left with mixed feelings about some of the events in Lincolnshire where it needed Charles Wright and guest Antti Vuolas to share the final race in order to nail down their fourth away win of the season and a first at Scunthorpe since 2017.
