Abandoned game call for Boro chief

September 25, 2025

MIDDLESBROUGH chief executive Neil Bausor is expected to be part of a big decision this week with regard to the abandoned Championship game between Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich Town.

The sides were 80 minutes into their meeting at Ewood Park on Saturday when referee Stephen Martin initially paused proceedings and took the players off due to torrential rain. The fixture was later abandoned.

At the time it was called off, Rovers led 1-0. Ipswich had also been reduced to 10 men after Jacob Greaves was shown a red for a foul on Yuki Ohashi.
