Twenty classmates formed a group called The Rainbow Movers. They had been together since Grade 1, and now, as Grade 6 students, they still shared the same dream which is to dance together as a celebration of their friendship.
When the Pahiyas Festival contest was announced, Janelle, the leader, clapped her hands in excitement.
"Let's join! Imagine us dancing in our colorful costumes!"
"Yes!" cried her best friend, Ethan. "We've been dancing since we were little. This is our chance to show everyone how good we are."
Each dancer prepared a costume in black with yellow and pink skirt with sparkled like rainbows and their headdresses bloomed with colored feathers. When they stood together, they looked like a moving garden of joy.
But not everyone was happy. Rixx, the leader of another dance group, crossed his arms and frowned.
"They think they can win just because they're close friends," he muttered. "Our steps are sharper. I am confident that we will be the winners!"
