Survey: Hunger rate slightly eases in Q4 2025

About 1 in every 5 Filipino families has experienced involuntary hunger in the last few months of last year, according to a survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).

Results of the Nov. 24 to 30 survey released on Wednesday night showed that 20.1 percent of the respondents experienced being hungry and having nothing to eat at least once in the past three months.
It was slightly down from the 22 percent obtained in a similar survey in September.
According to SWS, the country had an average hunger rate of 20.2 percent in 2025, similar to 2024.
