SHAABAA champion Batch 2018 relishes success rooted in brotherhood and unity

With joy and pride in their hearts, the Xchange Forex Batch 2018 savored their first taste of championship glory in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA).

Under the guidance of coach Joel Co, Batch 2018 swept the Imperial House of Furniture Batch 2015 in their best-of-three finals series to secure the Division C crown of the recently concluded SHAABAA Season 28.

"I saw hunger and humility. They were willing to sacrifice, to learn, and to play for each other - not just for themselves. That's the foundation of a champion team," said Co.

"Life has take us in different directions, but the commitment to show up for each other made the difference. We trusted one another, and that carried us through," chimed in Benedict Andre Chua, whose consistent play throughout the three-month tournament earned him a spot in the Mythical Five.
