Señor Sto. Niño image to stay overnight in Mandaue City

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TRASLACION
Devotees, pilgrims, and parishioners in Mandaue City will have more time to venerate the image of the Señor Sto. Niño de Cebu, as it will have an overnight stay at the National Shrine of St. Joseph during this year's Fiesta Señor on January 15.
Fr. Ian Fel Balankig, a member of the Team of Pastors at the shrine, told reporters yesterday that the overnight stay is one of the changes introduced in this year's celebration compared to previous years, when the image was transferred to Lapu-Lapu City in the evening of the same day of the traslacion.
He added that the overnight stay of the image is being done for the first time, as the working committee deemed it the best way to serve the people.
