The University of San Carlos further solidifies its regional influence and global impact as it maintains its position as the #1 university in the Visayas in the 2026 QS World University Rankings.

USC is 6th in PH in QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026 USC Leads Cebu Universities in Latest EduRank 2025 Rankings
The university ranked 6th in the Philippines and secured a spot in the top 100 in Southeast Asia, placing 94th overall. Moreover, USC ranked 1st in the Philippines under the Environmental Sustainability category, underscoring its commitment not only to groundbreaking research but also to environmental conservation. In the EduRank 2025 Rankings, USC claimed the highest rank as the leading institution in Cebu.
In 2025, USC cemented its reputation as one the country's leading institutions. From producing national topnotchers to pioneering with the latest technology that keeps Carolinians ahead of the curve, USC showed its dominance in academic and research. With expanded international exposure, the university gained global influence while their triumphs in the international sporting events brought pride to the nation.
The University of San Carlos has produced numerous topnotchers and successful passers in the 2025 national board examinations and certifications.
In the Pharmacists Licensure Examination, USC not only achieved a 100% passing rate but was also named the number one Pharmacy School in the country. USC produced two national topnotchers: Ralph Yuan Beringuel Cinco, who ranked 3rd with a score of 85.38%, and Jayan Derika Bautista Lerion, who placed 7th with a rating of 94.50%. Moreover, the USC Department of Pharmacy stands as the first and only pharmacy program in the Visayas and Mindanao to attain PAASCU Level IV Accreditation.
USC distinguished itself in the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination by recording a 100% passing rate for first-time takers, surpassing the national average of 90.40%, with Mr. Ronil Fronda Tomboc ranked 5th nationwide.
