The Development Administration Sector proposed P1.
-
3 billion, which includes new fire stations, police headquarters, and district jail projects. The Economic Development Sector listed P427 million worth of agriculture and livestock productivity enhancement programs.
The Environment Sector proposed P283.2 million for the mapping of foreshore areas in Cebu and Bohol—an initiative that supports climate resiliency and coastal management.
Three major feasibility studies valued at P108.6 million—were also endorsed, including the Talisay-Minglanilla-Naga Coastal Road, Mananga Dam II, and the expansion of highland vegetable production in Cebu.
Assistant Provincial Administrator Aldwin Empaces said the governor’s move to push feasibility studies is crucial because “no major project can be funded without a complete feasibility study under the RDC process.”
Empaces explained that Cebu has historically lagged in securing national funding due to slow submission of complete project proposals and feasibility studies.
