Rama encourages donors to help CCMC

Former Cebu City mayor Michael Rama said he would not object nor would have hard feelings towards any of the donors who wish to continue helping with the completion of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC).

Rama during his last term as mayor, solicited from various sectors to gather funds for the CCMC’s completion, as he wanted to use the City Government funds for another important projects.
Some of those who pledged support sent out their donations via the Cebu Medical Society (CMS), which was then headed by Dr. Peter Mancao.
Mancao had also served as CCMC medical director upon the appointment of the former mayor.
In an interview with The Freeman, Mancao said the CMS have already returned all the donations received to the respective donors.
The CMS received a total of P210-million in donations from various donors.
