PBP bets eye grassroots development

Former elections commissioner and now congressional hopeful, laywer Gregorio "Goyo" Larrazabal hopes to take the advocacy he is pushing for on a wider scale, alongside second nominee Beaver Lopez Jr.

Larrazabal, who leads the Partido sa Bagong Pilipino (PBP), a party-list organization advocating for grassroots development together with Lopez met with the Cebu media to express their candidacies in the upcoming midterm elections under the partylist system.

"We want to be the party-list that lifts up barangays by empowering every Filipino, ensuring no one ever gets left behind. By working together, we provide the most essential needs - starting with clean water and basic medicines - bringing national progress to smaller communities," PBP's Larrazabal and Lopez said.

They identified health care, clean water, electricity through renewable energy and better barangay roads and connectivity as their top priority agenda.

Larrazabal said that having these four pillars are like building a house with a good basic foundation, all for the benefit of the barangays.
