Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro has called on Pinamungajan Mayor Glenn Baricuatro to be transparent after photos of a public toilet project worth P1.153 million circulated on social media, drawing flak from the public.

A social media post showing the ongoing construction at the public beach in Barangay Tajao has gone viral, with several netizens suggesting possible overpricing.

The governor said that if the reported figures are accurate, the project deserves a detailed explanation—from cost breakdowns and bidding processes to audit compliance. She emphasized that transparency is essential when public money is involved.

"We need to demand answers from our leaders... ingon ani man gud ni public project, public money, public accountability," said the governor.

She further explained that the public deserves to see the itemized cost of the project and the documents related to its bidding process.

"Kung ni talk siya about transparency, so dapat gikuha niya ang cost sa items, itemized cost and bidding processes i-public gud na niya," she added.
