Over P1.15 million worth of illegal cigarettes were seized from a truck driver and two other accomplices in a joint search and inspection operation conducted by the Criminal and Investigation Detection Group (CIDG)-7 in Barangay Tinago, Cebu City, last Friday evening.
The arrested truck driver was identified as 44-year-old Ramel Cahutay Bautro, a resident of Madridejos, Cebu. Also arrested were his truck helpers Arnold Torres Baulita, 24, a native of Madridejos; and Ronie Marabi Veliganio, 27, from Santa Fe, Cebu.
