Mandaue gets P1B in pledges

The planned 257-bed facility is estimated to cost between P800 million and P1 billion, inclusive of equipment, said the mayor who also confirmed that the new hospital will rise in the same compound as the present one.

Ouano assured residents that the existing hospital will continue operating throughout the construction period and will only be closed once the new facility becomes fully functional.

For the new Mandaue City College campus, the pledges amounted to P490 million:

Congresswoman Ouano-Dizon committed P215 million for the first phase; Senator Raffy Tulfo’s P200 million for the second phase; and Senator Lapid pledged P75 million for the third phase.
