A 28-year-old man was shot dead in an ambush while walking along V. Rama Avenue in Sitio Melonida, Barangay Calamba, Cebu City, on Wednesday afternoon, December 17.
Police identified the victim as John Arthur Palao, a resident of Sitio Kawayan, Barangay Sambag II, Cebu City.
Initial investigation by the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) revealed that Palao was walking in front of a pawnshop along V. Rama Avenue when two suspects—one identified as Rosmar Manceniro and his still unidentified companion—suddenly shot him without provocation.
