Logistics Executive Leslie Lim Urges More Women to Pursue Leadership Roles
The Freeman
|March 20, 2026
As the Philippines' logistics sector expands alongside regional trade and manufacturing growth, more women are stepping into leadership positions in what has long been a male-dominated industry. In Cebu, Leslie D. Lim is among those reshaping the landscape.
-
Lim, founder and chief executive officer of LDL Group of Companies, oversees a logistics business that provides trucking, warehousing and freight services across the Visayas and Mindanao.
Her firm supports supply chains for industries ranging from food production to retail distribution, at a time when Cebu is strengthening its role as a key commercial hub outside Metro Manila.
With rising demand for efficient cargo movement driven by e-commerce, manufacturing and inter-island trade, logistics providers are under pressure to scale operations and modernize services.
Lim, who has spent more than two decades in the industry, said adaptability and diversification have been central to sustaining growth amid intensifying competition.
