Go, Imee visit flood victims

|November 07, 2025
Senators Bong Go and Imee Marcos have mobilized assistance and delivered messages of solidarity to Cebuanos devastated by Typhoon Tino, which left widespread destruction across Cebu and other parts of the Visayas.
-
During his visit to affected areas in Talisay City yesterday, Senator Bong Go personally met with residents and local officials, assuring them of continued national government support and urging unity in rebuilding communities.
“Your local officials are here, we’re helping each other, we’re working together. I came here to Talisay, and I’m heading to Mandaue and Cebu City. Let’s just keep praying. There is a God, and He will not abandon us,” Go said.
The senator emphasized that while Typhoon Tino brought severe destruction, Cebuanos and Visayans are known for their resilience and strength.
“Cebuanos and Visayans are known to rise again no matter what. Let’s continue to help each other,” he added.
Go appealed to the national government and all its agencies not to overlook the Visayas, stressing that the majority of the storm's victims are from the region.
“Most of those affected by Typhoon Tino are here. I appeal to all agencies...and others to work for the immediate restoration of normalcy. Our people need to return to their normal lives as soon as possible,” Go said.
