The Freeman
|December 02, 2025
Strong community participation and proactive governance are some of the factors being attributed to the significant crime deterrence in the city for the month of November this year, said the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
-
For November 2025, the CCPO recorded a notable 52.07% drop in major crime incidents compared to the data in the same month last year.
Based on reports, the total reported index and non-index crimes in Cebu City declined from 550 cases in November 2025 down to 319 in November 2025.
Particularly, data showed that almost all of the index crimes were reduced. The murder cases in Cebu City decreased from 12 to one reported incident, while one homicide case was reported this year compared to none last year.
