DSWD-7 reports P21.5 million in AICS given to 7,000 students

With its objective to showing support for students in need, the Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas (DSWD-7) has provided educational aid to 7,665 students during the third round of payouts.

In its press release, the assistance, amounting to P21.5 million, is part of DSWD's ongoing efforts to help students in crisis, especially with the return of face-to-face classes.
The payout covered students from elementary to college/vocational levels.
Data from DSWD-7 showed that 1,820 elementary students, 1,390 high schoolers, 853 senior high students, and 3,602 college/vocational learners received the aid.
According to DSWD-7 Director Shalaine Marie Lucero, this close collaboration has been key to ensuring the payout venues are orderly, efficient, and safe.
