Their house badly damaged. Their convenience store smashed.

The beach resort they built out of their hard-earned savings for years was completely destroyed.

Like the rest of those affected by the 6.9 magnitude temblor that jolted northern Cebu a month ago, his family in Tabuelan is forced to live inside a tent while dealing with strong aftershocks that were compounded by occasional thunderstorms.

Adding pain to their already troubled hearts, the mother of his wife Tessie died of heart attack during a scary aftershock episode in the dead of night.

It seems that their whole world has gone down in the wake of the tragedy.
