DILG launches Infrastructure Audit Program

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has formally launched its Infrastructure Audit (IA) Program, focusing on the structural integrity of Local Government Unit (LGU)-owned critical infrastructure for disaster resiliency.
-
The program prioritizes densely populated areas near active fault lines.
The IA Program aims to standardize infrastructure assessments using a harmonized tool developed in collaboration with national and local government agencies and stakeholders.
Key public buildings providing essential services, such as hospitals, schools, government offices, and emergency response facilities, will be prioritized.
Excluded from the audit are privately-owned buildings not providing essential services, residential properties, and nationally-owned buildings.
