Cebu City residents now have access to 2,625 fully funded scholarship slots for three-year diploma programs in Hospitality Management and Tourism Management, marking a major investment in workforce development and inclusive education.
This was announced by Mayor Nestor Archival in a public post, who underscored this development as a cornerstone of Cebu City's vision for a smart, sustainable, and inclusive future.
The program offers comprehensive support, including free tuition, books, insurance, national competency assessments under NC II, III, and IV, and a P9,000 allowance per semester. All diploma subjects are fully credited for students who wish to transition to a fourth-year bachelor's degree program.
“Dili na gyud babag ang financial aspect sa pag-eskwela,” he said, affirming his commitment to expanding opportunities for underserved communities. “This is the seed we are planting for the smart, sustainable, and inclusive city that you deserve.”
