City Council demands comprehensive report

With the winning bidder for Phase 5 of the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) project set to be announced soon, the Cebu City Council is now demanding a full report from the Department of Engineering and Public Works (DEPW) on the status, progress, and challenges surrounding the long-delayed construction.
The move comes following a resolution filed by Councilor Nestor Archival Sr., citing concerns over the repeated setbacks in the completion of the hospital, which was envisioned to improve the city's healthcare system.
Earlier, Cebu City Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia told reporters that he would soon reveal the winning bidder for the P700-million Phase 5 package of the CCMC project.
