City advances tourism, economic, cultural exchange with Russia

The Cebu City government, led by Mayor Nestor Archival, is advancing discussions on tourism, economic cooperation, and cultural exchange with Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Marat Ignatyevich Pavlov following a meeting held at City Hall last week.

Archival welcomed Pavlov back to Cebu City in a meeting that carried significance beyond diplomatic protocol, as the city prepares to host the 50th Anniversary of Philippine-Russian Diplomatic Relations in May.
“Kini nga panagtagbo nagpakita sa importansya sa internasyonal nga kooperasyon alang sa mutual growth ug cultural exchange,” Archival said, underscoring the value of global partnerships in fostering shared development and cultural understanding.
The milestone celebration is expected to feature a business forum, Russian folk performances, and a chess tournament, highlighting the breadth of cooperation between the two sides.
