The consultation is an active initiative of the Committee on Suffrage and Electoral Reforms aimed at consolidating the views, manifestations, suggestions, and plans of the public in light of the proposed legislation.

The session was presided over by Lanao del Sur’s 1st District Rep. Ziaur-Rahman “Zia” Alonto Adiong.

Other members of the House of Representatives present were Mamamayang Liberal Rep. Leila M. de Lima, Kabataan Party-list Rep. Renee Louise M. Co, Bukidnon’s 2nd District Rep. Jonathan Keith T. Flores, Caloocan City’s 2nd District Rep. Edgar R. Erice, Rizal’s 2nd District Rep. Emigdio P. Tanjuatco III, AKO BICOL Rep. Alfredo A. Garbin Jr., Gabriela Women’s Rep. Sarah Jane I.
