Cebu City activates “Task Force Undas”

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival has activated "Task Force Undas 2025" through Executive Order No. 019, Series of 2025, covering security, traffic management, sanitation, and medical services across the city's 21 cemeteries.

Archival said city operations have been running smoothly since the activation of the task force, citing improved crowd control and traffic flow around cemetery areas.

"Dinhi sa atoang lugar, smooth man kaayo ang flow. Wala gyud ko makitang nag-atang nga tao," he said.

Under the executive order, a citywide liquor ban is in effect. Intoxicated individuals, firearms, and bladed weapons are strictly prohibited inside cemetery premises. Vendors are allowed only outside cemeteries and must follow regulations set by the City's Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, and Enhancement (PROBE) Team.

Personnel from the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), City Disaster Office, and Health Department have been deployed to major cemeteries, while sanitation teams ensure cleanliness throughout the observance.
