Capitol transition team finalizes report -DILG

Under the memorandum circular issued by the DILG, local chief executives are required to form a transition team to ensure the proper handover of documents, properties, and responsibilities.

“Based on our agreed timeline, the inventory of assets was to be completed from June 2 to 6,” he shared.

Sastrillo noted that under Sections 375 to 377 of the Local Government Code, department heads may be held accountable if any irregularities are found in the records.

An executive briefing is also being prepared and is tentatively scheduled between June 23 and 27.

Sastrillo emphasized that the meeting will depend on the agreement of Governor Garcia, who remains in office until June 30.
