Buhing Kalbaryo to go on sans financial aid from City Hall

Despite the absence of a financial support from the Cebu City government, the presentation of the Buhing Kalbaryo will still go on.

This was announced by former Cebu City mayor Michael Rama in a press conference yesterday.
Now on its 28th year, the Buhing Kalbaryo would highlight the spirit of volunteerism among the cast, Rama said who led in organizing the annual play in observance of the Holy Week.
The Buhing Kalbaryo, which will be staged on Good Friday, April 18, depicts the life of Jesus Christ up to His crucifixion.
Rama, however, said that like the "Pasko sa V. Rama," which did not receive any financial support from the Cebu City government for the past five years, the Buhing Kalbaryo is being supported in other ways.
He said the City government has offered to give permits for the utilization of the streets and some materials for the stage setups.
