Another warehouse razed by fire

Two days after a styrofoam warehouse was razed by a fire that reached second alarm in Barangay Guizo, Mandaue City, another industrial warehouse was engulfed in flames in Barangay Tipolo on Friday morning, December 12.

Based on the initial investigation of the Mandaue City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), the fire was reported around 9:34 a.m.
By 9:38 a.m., firefighters raised the first alarm. They declared the fire under control around 9:45 a.m. and fully extinguished it at 9:52 a.m.
The blaze reportedly occurred on P. Basubas Street near the Tipolo barangay hall.
It was learned that while the fire was still in progress, the barangay's fire truck was unable to operate to help extinguish the flames, allegedly because it had no water.
