Aboitiz celebrates “25 Years of Football Glory” with Silver Cup

This year, the AFC marks its 25th edition with a landmark staging of the Silver Cup highlighted by the “Champions’ League” featuring regional winners in two of the most competitive age brackets: Boys’ 16 and Boys’ 18.

The Silver Cup officially kicked off on Saturday, September 20, at the Dynamic Herb-Borromeo Sports Complex.

With the theme “25 Years of Football Glory. Celebrating Legacy. Building Champions”, the event pays tribute to a quarter-century of football excellence and its transformative impact on Cebuano sports development and the rest of the country.

Since its inception, the AFC has become more than a competition - it is a cornerstone of youth empowerment and community pride across Cebu and the Visayas.

From school-based squads to elite clubs, the Cup has nurtured generations of champions whose stories continue to inspire.
