The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) honored eight entrepreneurs and organizations whose leadership and innovation helped anchor the province’s economy through a year marked by natural calamities and economic volatility.

Now on its 26th year, the Grand Chamber Awards (GCA) has become a benchmark for business excellence in the region, recognizing companies that strengthened Cebu’s economic base even as earthquakes, tropical storms, and market disruptions affected operations.
Treasure Island Industrial Corp. President and CEO Daniel O. Ong was named Entrepreneur of the Year for transforming Island Paints into a nationally recognized brand and steering the company through the pandemic and a plant fire in 2023. Judges cited his efforts to professionalize the family-run business and advance sustainability initiatives.
GT Cosmetics Manufacturing Inc. founder and chairman Leonora Salvane received the Innovation Leader of the Year award for growing a homegrown skincare company into a globally compliant manufacturer with Halal, ISO 22716, and FDA certifications.
