The Nair Service Society has decided to abandon a pro posed strategic unders ta nding with the Shree Na rayan Dharma Paripalana Yogam, signalling a recal ib ration of community politics in Kerala and reaffi rming its long-stated position of pol itical equidistance. The de cision followed deliberations within the orga nisation's governing structure, where a majority of board members were rep orted to have op posed the move, citing ideological and practical concerns.
In a statement issued after consultations, the internal the Nair Service Society said the idea of a formal alignment could not be pursued as it would require compromises inconsistent with the organisation's foundational principles.
