Movie director dies by suicide

Noted Kannada film director Guruprasad, 52, known for his critically acclaimed box office hits like Mata, Eddelu Manjunatha and Director's Special was found dead in his apartment on Bengaluru outskirts.

The incident came to light on Sunday afternoon when neighbours complained of a foul smell coming out of Guruprasad's flat in Reeva Apartment in Madanayakanahalli in Nelamangala on city outskirts.
Police who broke open the door found the decomposed body of Guruprasad hanging from a ceiling fan in his room.
Police suspect that the director could have died by hanging at least five days ago.
