32 women among 50+ cancer cases detected in city

More than 50 patients have been diagnosed with oral, breast and cervical cancer during year-long screening activities conducted at municipal maternity homes, 'Aapla Dawakhana' centres and polyclinics by the BMC's health department, the officials said. The initiative, which was launched in February 2025, will continue till March 31, 2026. The aim is to strengthen early cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment services.
