A day after presenting his 17th Budget, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that he would present two more budgets if the Congress high command allowed him to continue in office.

- NT Correspondent

Speaking to reporters, he said the state had lost ₹10,000 crore in GST revenue after the Central government revised the GST structure last October. He reiterated that the decision on whether he would continue as Chief Minister rested with the party high command.

“I will continue as Chief Minister until the high command takes a decision. If they permit, I will present the remaining two budgets of this five-year term. The decision on whether I should continue or step down lies entirely with the party high command, and I will abide by whatever they decide,” he said.
