Congress, BJP gear up for Latur CMC polls

With the Latur City Municipal Corporation (LCMC) elections approaching, the Congress party has swung into full action, intensifying its preparations to reclaim control of the civic body.

The Latur City District Congress Committee has officially begun the process of accepting applications from party aspirants seeking candidature in the upcoming polls.

According to the committee, applications will be accepted at the Congress Bhavan in Latur from today, Nov 15, to Nov 23. To ensure a smooth and transparent procedure, a special committee has been formed to oversee the process.

The committee includes senior party functionaries Balaprasad Bidada, Dagduappa Mitkari, Namdev Ige, Rafique Sayyed, Sidram Katare, Pravin Kamble, Sanjay Nilegaonkar, and Manoj Deshmukh.

These office-bearers will be present daily between llam and 3pm at the Congress Bhavan to receive applications in the prescribed format, marking an important phase in the party's election preparations.
