BABU CHARTS GROWTH PATH FOR ANDHRA PRADESH

Andhra Pradesh is steadily advancing toward a high-growth trajectory with a strong focus on economic reforms, technology-driven governance and welfare-oriented development, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Tuesday while addressing the third Ministers and Secretaries Conference at the State Secretariat.

The meeting reviewed the state’s economic performance, implementation of key policies and administrative reforms aimed at improving public service delivery.

Presenting an overview of the National Economic Survey 2025-26, State Planning Department Principal Secretary Piyush Kumar explained that India’s economy has entered a robust recovery phase. The national GDP growth rate improved from 6.5 percent in 2024-25 to 7.4 percent in 2025-

6, while medium-term growth potential is estimated at around 7 percent. Inflation remained well under control, with retail inflation recorded at just L7 percent between April and December 2025, the lowest level in a decade. Agriculture grew by 3.1 percent, industry by 7 percent and services by 9.3 percent, reflecting balanced sectoral expansion. India’s exports crossed USD 825 billion and infrastructure growth showed major progress, including expansion of high-speed corridors and improvements in innovation rankings.
