Police book professor under POCSO

A professor from a college in Malegaon has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, for allegedly harassing minor students by sending obscene messages and threatening them with academic consequences.
The accused has been identified as Professor Nitin Shankar Taware (42), a resident of Baramati. A complaint was lodged by Sandeep Ramesh Shah. The case has been registered at Baramati Taluka Police Station, and Sub-Inspector Devidas Salve is investigating the matter.
