GHMC intensifies mega sanitation drive

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has intensified its sanitation efforts under a special mega drive, with over 5,641 metric tonnes of waste cleared to date.

The initiative, which began on 29 December 2025 and will run until 31 January, targets vulnerable garbage points, foot-over bridges, flyovers, parks, and other public spaces across the city. So far, sanitation teams have removed 4,243 metric tonnes of general waste and 1,398 metric tonnes of construction debris, marking a significant step toward cleaner streets and public areas.
