Coimbatore authorities have detained six relatives for abandoning the body of a six-month-old boy on railway tracks near Ravuthur after purchasing him from Maharashtra for 30,000.
The infant, who died from jaundice on the day of acquisition, was initially taken to a burial ground, but when burial authorities demanded death documentation, the family instead disposed of the body between the Ravuthur stretch
