Which is a good school for my child? I've heard this question more than a thousand times in the twenty years that I have specialised in education reporting. And as I tie up this edition with a neat bow, I replay the advice of various academicians and experts -- A good school is where your child is happy, eager to attend and where at the end of work day both students and teachers smile with satisfaction.

And that is the belief that shaped the way for a brand new framework of Mumbai School Survey 2025. In its third edition, the Survey set out to capture the many realities behind that simple idea of a “good school”.

This year, our framework is tenaciously designed to look beyond infrastructure and reputation.
