In view of the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027, work has begun on the Rs214 crore underpass project at Dwarka Chowk to ease traffic congestion.

Due to the construction, Dwarka Chowk will remain completely closed to heavy vehicles, private passenger buses, Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses and Citilinc buses for the next three months, leading to major changes in Nashik Municipal Corporation's Citilinc bus routes. The existing bus stops at Siddharth Hotel, Pournima, Dwarka and Wadala Naka will remain closed for three months. New stops have been introduced at Vijay Mamata Signa
