India’s passport has dropped to the 85th position in the 2025 Henley Passport Index, offering visa-free access to just 57 destinations, down from 59 last year.
The fall highlights a decline in the country’s global travel freedom as compared to several Asian and European nations that continue to strengthen their positions.
Singapore has once again emerged as the world’s most powerful passport, providing visa-free access to 195 destinations, the highest among all countries.
