SIT told not to limit investigations to prime accused Unnikrishnan Potty

The Kerala High Court has directed the Special Investigation Team to investigate a possible expansive conspiracy linked to the disappearance of gold from the sacred Sabarimala Temple, mandating that all further proceedings be conducted behind closed doors.

The court observed that the investigations must not end with Unnikrishnan Potty, the prime accused in the gold theft and the larger conspiracy must be brought to light. The court also ordered the registration of a new case in which the Devaswom Board, Devaswom Vigilance and the state government have been named as accused.
