The Congress on Saturday questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence on the repeated claims of US President Donald Trump that India would no longer be buying oil from Russia.

Sharing a clip that showed Trump speaking on Friday in Hungary regarding the issue, Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote in a post on “X”: “President Trump has yet again said that he has been assured by his good friend that India will cut back on its imports of oil from Russia.”
