Joseph Mor Gregorios has been installed as the Catholicos of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church, adopting the title Baselios Joseph I.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary's Patriarchal Cathedral in Atchaneh, Lebanon, and was officiated by Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church.
The installation service was attended by metropolitans, priests, and representatives from across the Syriac Orthodox Church.
The event underscored the church's enduring connection to the Holy See of Antioch.
