A major development in 2025 was the operational push following the notification of four labour codes, aimed at consolidating labour laws and enhancing social security coverage for workers. According to officials, these codes have laid the groundwork for streamlined compliance, improved transparency and wider protection for workers across organised and unorganised sectors.
