Trump's new script: 100% tariff on all overseas films

US President Donald Trump on Monday announced a 100 per cent tariff on all films produced outside the United States, claiming that the country's movie industry had been "stolen" by overseas competitors.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Hollywood, especially California, had been undermined by foreign players and a "weak and incompetent" state government. "Our movie-making business has been stolen from the United States of America, just like stealing 'candy from a baby'," he wrote.
