TN BJP leader Annamalai slams DMK's women's conference, calls it 'drama'
The Daily Guardian
|October 17, 2023
Tamil Nadu state BJP leader K. Annamalai lashed out at the DMK women's conference held in Chennai on October 14 and said that Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were working for the revival of the DMK in Tamil Nadu.
Addressing the media on Sunday at the Coimbatore airport, Annamalai said, "The conference was a drama as DMK MP Kanimozhi conducted a conference in December 2022, where DMK youth wing members misbehaved with a woman constable. The constable was threatened by DMK leaders asking her not to speak about it in court. So DMK doesn't have the right to talk about women's rights."
He also said that women leaders in the conference flayed PM Modi and raised questions about the Women's Reservation Bill.
