Modern lifestyles are filled with deadlines, long hours in front of screens, and a constant race to achieve greater success—all of which come at the cost of stress.

STRESS DOESN'T JUST WEIGH ON YOUR MIND, IT STRAINS YOUR HEART AND ARTERIES

Most people assume stress only affects them mentally, but beyond mental health, it can also harm physical health, particularly the heart and arteries. Chronic stress does more than make people feel irritated or anxious; it gradually damages blood vessels, elevates blood pressure, and increases the risk of major cardiovascular conditions.

IMPACT OF STRESS ON THE HEART

When the body experiences stress, it produces chemicals such as adrenaline and cortisol. These “fight or flight” hormones increase heart rate and narrow blood vessels. They can also trigger inflammation, which is linked to heart-related issues such as high blood pressure and reduced levels of “good” HDL cholesterol. Constant stress over time can lead to:

1. High blood pressure: Stress hormones constrict blood vessels, forcing the heart to pump harder. Chronic pressure further damages arterial walls.
