PM MODI URGES ‘NO DRAMA, ONLY DELIVERY’ AS WINTER SESSION OPENS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday urged Opposition parties to set aside political bitterness and ensure a productive Winter Session of Parliament, warning against turning the House into a “battleground for frustration born out of defeat” or an “arena for arrogance born out of victory.” Speaking to the media ahead of the sixth session of the 18th Lok Sabha and the 269th Rajya Sabha, he said Parliament must remain focused on national development, sound legislation and constructive debate.

Mr Modi accused sections of the Opposition of appearing “unsettled” after their defeat in the recent Bihar elections, adding that Parliament should not be reduced to drama. “Yaha drama nahi, delivery honi chahiye,” he said, urging all parties to prioritise policy over sloganeering. He emphasised that negativity “may work in politics” but nation-building requires positive thinking and responsible participation.
